FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: Why is this building being renovated?

A: This building is being renovated to extend the useful life and viability of the building by correcting the fire/life safety and seismic deficiencies while completely upgrading all infrastructure systems to provide a high performance, modern workplace. The background and history of the building was also taken into consideration. When constructed in 1964, the Resources Building (then called the State Retirement Building) was the tallest office structure in Sacramento and fourth tallest office building west of Chicago. In addition, Alfred Eichler, who designed many historical California landmarks over his 38-year career with the State of California, was the architect for this building. The project will honor the building's historic qualities while providing a modern, safe and energy efficient workplace.

Please refer to the Project Description for more information.
