Resources Building Renovation

Project Description:

The Resources Building Renovation Project (RBR) involves a comprehensive rehabilitation of the 17-story 657,000-square-foot building located at 1416 9th Street in downtown Sacramento; leaving the building’s steel frame, then adding reinforcement and rebuilding to match the current footprint, mass, and height. The goal of the Project is to protect the health and safety of the Resources Building’s occupants, extend the useful life and viability of the building by correcting the fire/life safety deficiencies, and completely upgrading all infrastructure systems. Project will include exterior envelope replacement, including installation of new roof and insulation, window system, and building skin. The project delivery method is Progressive Design-Build. The building is being designed to achieve Zero Net Energy and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification.
